Oval Engagement Rings in Dubai

Oval lab grown diamond engagement rings in solitaire, halo, hidden halo and three-stone designs, in white, yellow and rose gold.

An oval has nearly the sparkle of a round diamond, but it's stretched, so it covers more of the finger. From above, an oval usually looks larger than a round diamond of the same carat weight. It also makes fingers look slimmer and longer, which is a big part of why it's one of the most popular engagement ring shapes today.

Two things to check on any oval

The bow tie. Most ovals show a darker band across the middle, shaped like a bow tie. A good cut keeps it faint. A poor cut makes it look like a shadow in the stone. Look at the video or photos in normal light before you decide.

The shape. The length-to-width ratio tells you how long or round the oval is. Between 1.30 and 1.50 is the classic look. Lower looks chubbier, and higher looks long and slim. It's personal taste, but it's worth knowing which one you like.

Settings that suit an oval

A solitaire lets the outline speak for itself. A halo or hidden halo adds sparkle and makes the centre look even bigger. Three-stone ovals look striking with tapered side stones. Not sure between oval and round? Our oval vs round comparison shows them side by side.
