The small details that change the look

• Prongs. Four prongs show more diamond. Six prongs feel more secure and suit round stones.
• Bezel. A thin rim of gold around the stone. It's the most practical choice if you work with your hands.
• Band width. A thinner band makes the diamond look bigger. A pavé band adds small diamonds along the shank for extra sparkle.
• Setting height. A lower setting catches less on clothes and gloves. A higher setting lets a wedding band sit flush underneath.

Choose round, oval, pear, marquise, emerald, princess, cushion or heart. Round sparkles most. Oval and pear look larger for their weight.
